COYO: Ideas & Roadmap

Purge unused uploaded files

Sometimes files are uploaded twice or even three or more times because the user fails searching the server for already available files. Also files are uploaded but then never used. Over time this can take up a lot of hard drive space considering videos and large presentations being uploaded.
Idea is to implement a syntax that can identify and find duplicates (via hash values) and also find files which were uploaded but haven't been linked anywhere in order to preserve hard drive space and of course keep our coyo clean! :)

I like the idea of checking for duplicates.
However, I would be carefull with deleting files that aren't being linked.
Our Usecase is that we tend to drop our files in workspaces and access them directly from the documents app. Therefore, hardly any files are linked.
Maybe Admins could be given the ability to activate the options seperately.

Would it be possible to create a function which searches for Duplicates? We would like to avoid them in the Database? Especially Documents.
