Preview content in COYO update notification emails
In our user base, we have many freelancers etc. that are not on the platform all day long.
Currently, the notifications are too generic to help them decide whether they've missed something relevant.
"Hey Susanne Bartel,
There is 1 update you have not seen, yet. You have:
1 new private message"
etc. it would be great to see at least a few more details like:
1 new WIKI page "namexyz" in space ABC from....
You could also show new timeline entries, at least the first few rows. Should be pretty straightforward to develop, right?
Let me know if you have questions re. this request.
This issue is planned and we will start developing it as soon as we can free up resources for that task. Unfortunately there are a few other items with a higher priority on our table right now. We’ll keep you posted about the progress.

I think it all has been said here already.
Maybe a small detail I can add: When we still had the on premise version, it was already working fine (full text in e-mails)!
When we switched to coyo cloud, e-mail notifications became basically useless :-(
Thanks for the heads up. We received multiple feedback on this topic in the last couple of weeks and we will look into it.

Due to some complaints, I had to disable this important interface between the email environment and our COYO platform. Previously, some users even left workspaces to avoid being flooded with possibly unnecessary notifications.
Please revise this as soon as possible.
We know that this is a really important topic for many of you. We put it on the roadmap but I don't have a timing, yet. We have some topics with a higher priority that we are working on right know. But this is one of the candidates as a follow up.
I am very sorry that I can't tell you anything more positive. It's planned and it will be implement, I just simply can say how soon.

Same for us. The generic email notification isn't helpful for our users.

Same with us. Really a mess with this kind of notifications! And anything else than software in 2020.

Also our user are missing this "information".
On our side as well, many do not even open Coyo anymore because they are annoyed about the unnecessary information in the emails. They would like to see where there is an update in Coyo, who has written them in the chat and what the information is all about. THEN they would follow the links to the coyo platform.
Any updates?? I already have a grumpy CEO in my back who REFUSES to open COYO because he is sick of meaningless "you have 74 updates" emails! This feature seems to have many other customers supporting it, so please move it up the queue.
Hi Sven any update?? Patience is really running out! It feels a bit our customer segment is not in the focus, looking at the latest integrations etc?
As stated before, nothing fancy needed, anything is better than this. I can get you complaints from 200 people if this helps...
If this is not suitable for all your customer orgs, just make it configurable in the settings.
Apologies but really losing my patience here. Also quite some other companies seem to really struggle with this. Happy to test early versions and provide feedback.
Also please!: We need the possibility to decide what kind of notifications get sent via mail.
In our case we'd only want people to get a mail when
- they were mentioned somewhere
- somebody commented on their post/blog
- they were invited to an event or workspace
Reason why: General "happenings" on coyo that are not quite as important, bother our users and they tend to ignore Coyo-update-mails. And we also send out our own newsletter anyways where we push interesting topics from the platform as a teaser. I believe many big companies do that too.

More details in the mail notification....there should be details like: -open messages, - open workspaces invitations
I can't really give you an update on a timeline, sorry. Unfortunately, there are still a few high priority topics to check until we can tackle this one.
I'll keep you posted.
This feature would also be very important to us as it would push user engagement with the platform.
Is there any update on a timeline?
Thanks in advance!
Any updates?? It is in "Planned" state for a quarter now.
It is really important, and should be straightforward to implement. No need for fancy!

Same for us, our number one wish in 2019!
Hi there, happy new year :)
Any news on this request? It is really really urgent!
We don't need anything beautiful, just a few more words for starters. Happy to beta test whatever you come up with, or explain this further if needed. Am based in Hamburg and could even drop by :)
Thanks and cheers,

Just a sidekick: Notifications work great within this community platform...
You see author, topic, content and even have a clickable link. Should be possible in Coyo also...

We urgently support this feature request.
It was possible in Coyo 3 to see authors, topics of new entries. So our users, who are also not "always on", could easily decide, if a news is relevant to them and fire up Coyo.
With the switch to Coyo 4 the detailed notifications are gone. It's a real big backdrop for us. We see a big decline in daily users since Coyo 4. One big reason seem to be the completely useless notifications.
It should be possible to re-activate a feature which already existed - even though Coyo 4 is a completely new platform.
Unfortunately rather month than weeks. I can't give you a timeline, yet, but I'll post any news here as soon as we can say when we are going to tackle this issue.
