Settings for notifications
I would like to have the possibility in my personal settings the possibility to select the notification I would like to receive.

Are there any news on the topic? A quick feedback would be very helpful

Is there any new process on this topic? Personally, I really like the suggestion of Michal in point a. One of the top responses i get, is that the notifications should be adjustable in a global way (notification for typ x - yes/no, notification for type y -yes/no, ...)

I think it would be great, if the notifications could be:
A) customizable for the user 'globally' in his settings, on various specific events in general like:
- "..when a new file is uploaded in a Worksapce / page I am Following"
- "..when a new file is uploaded in a Worksapce / page where I am Admin"
- "..a wiki article was edited in a Workspace / Page I am Following"
- "..a wiki article was created in a Workspace / Page I am Following"
- "..a wiki article was edited in a Workspace / Page where I am Admin"
- "..a wiki article was created in a Workspace / Page where I am Admin"
B) Customizable by user Per-App in each Page / Workspace
C) Customizable by Page / Workspace Admins for each App - also with an option to override User_Config in §A and §B (This option could be available only for users with Editor+ Roles, or limited to Pages)
The customization mentioned in §A was actually available in COYO3. Now you can specify only when you want to receive browser-notifications.
Thanks & regards, Michal
one of the top critics I receive since we use Coyo 4 is on notifications. Colleagues are so unhappy they keep asking how to deactivate "the bell"; Personally for me I agree with Sarah, I can only hope that the notifications will improve soon so I don't miss any of the important things among all the unnecessary info I get
Currently the notification is a kind of disturbing element. Like Sarah, I'm a member of several Groups and follower of several Pages. Every day I got ~200 Notifications ... and I click only "Read all". Like Sarah wrote, I want to read the important messages and not "abc joint group def". I don't have the time to scroll down the entire list and read all entries.
Hey Sarah, blog articles are coming up in your newsfeed because of your configuration (it was shared on your timeline). Since this is not the default and users would miss new articles if they don't have this configuration set we'll need notifications in this case.
But I totally get your point - also, in general there will be even more notifications in the future which will make this issue more problematic.
My idea would be to give users the option to turn off (or on) notifications of specific types. For example, if you are not interested in notifications about new blog articles you can simply turn those off. What do you think?
Also, from your experience with COYO3 and COYO4: Did this problem get worse in COYO4?
I'm really struggling with the notifications. I work now for 2 month with Coyo 4. I'm member in 78 Communities and I'm following 57 pages. I currently miss really important things because my notifications are packed with rubbish. Like how many members a community have or the publication of blog articles, which comes up in my timeline anyway. If Coyo wants to be a serious collaboration tool, this really has to improve.
Currently our users are unsure for which events/items they will receive a notification. Moreover they don´t need all of the notifications and liked the notifications in V3 - to chose for which events they will receive notifications.
