COYO: Ideas & Roadmap

Improve blog sharing on timeline

When a page/workspace chooses the option that a blog post get shared on the timeline automatically:

1. do not display like "page shared it with page". there should be onelyone sender like on facebook.

2. do not show the name of the blog app, just headline and teaser.

3. show bigger picture and headline at its bottom like on facebook

4. centralise comments and likes: when I like or comment the blogpost shared on the timeline of the page, the likes or comments should be overtaken on the original blogpost page too.

    Quick update: We are still planning on doing 1 and 3. Number 4 is already completed. Number 2 is a bit tricky since some customers like to have this information there. So, using the workaround via CSS would be the way to go.

    Sounds great.

    No. 2 can be fixed via CSS until then (code also includes size of the headline etc.):

    .timeline-item.blog .panel-body.timeline-item-body .article-body .message {
    h1.article-title {
    margin-top: -7px;
    font-weight: 400;
    line-height: 1.3;
    }

    small.blog-app-title {
    display: none;
    }

    + when I share a blogpost on a timeline and comment it it really does not look good. small comment text, picture too far on the left etc.

    addition to 1: and do not display the name of the author above the name of the page. now it is like

    "person a shared it with page x"
    "page x shared it with page x"
    "name of blog app"
    "headline"
    "teaser"

    very confusing.
