We are planning to improve the preview of Excel, Word and PowerPoint files in the context of our Office 365 integration
Yes, that's being planned. We'll also need the O365 integration for that, though.
Unfortunately this is due to technical limitations. We are converting the documents to pdf internally using a third party library. Unfortunately, the library sometimes struggles a bit with some Word documents. We hope that we can resolve this issue when we start integrating O365 and are switching to use Microsofts API directly.
Interesting idea. Would users be able to find hidden pages in the search? For your use case this should not be the case, right?
Usually we try to keep the app configuration as simple as possible. Anyways, I also see the use case that you are describing. Let's see how many votes this idea gets.

The problem with this feature is that it actually poses a security risk. Linking to local files might be useful, but at the same time it opens up your users to malware risks. This is the reason why we do not currently allow file:// links in COYO.
Does the idea only imply enabling the file:// protocol or linking to files on shared network storage?
Hey Christian, I love the idea to highlight new posts. I totally agree that is is quite difficult to see which posts are new.
To be honest, I struggle a bit with your other ideas. How (and actually why) should forum posts be displayed in the timeline? Isn't it quite confusing if the show up in between regular posts?
Regarding the sorting: As far as I know it is the default for all popular forums that the newest post is listed at the end - but maybe it would help to make it easier to navigate to the last page?
Hey Jörg, can you clarify this a bit and maybe give an example?
Why CSV? What would you like to achieve with a CSV export? Wouldn't ICS be more better to import events into Outlook for example?
Thanks for the great feedback! I agree that it makes sense to add both features: mark / save posts to be viewed later and also get notified about posts at some point in the future. I also like the idea to connect this feature to the task app.
I think this feature adds value to the product and it's planned to be implemented again. I was wondering whether we should implement it the same way it was before in COYO 3. There you could mark a post and on your global timeline you had a filter to show all posts you have marked before.
Another idea would be to set a date for a reminder. You can choose when COYO is reminding you of a specific post via notification. If you click on that notification you will be linked to that specific post.
This would have the advantage of being more flexible. We could also attach this to messages, forum posts or basically any content. The disadvantage would be that the user does not get an overview of his or her marked posts.
What version of COYO do you use?
When creating a link button widget you can remove the tick at "Open in new window?". That should do the trick.
Does this solve your problem?
Yeah, I see the point. I am just wondering what to display after the user clicked on that notification?
Exactly. You will need the version 7 of the COYO server. But its not really far away - your admin can upgrade from 3 to 7 directly.
Ah I see - got it! The app group title are actually already visible on mobile devices. We changed that with version 7.0.x.
So, whats missing is collapsable app groups - right?
Do you have any particular navigation boxes in mind?
Hey Jenny, you mean in case one user is creating an event (and so being the admin of that event), but not participating?
Can you provide a little more information? Where exactly would you like to have an undo function?
Hey Christoph, at the moment you can sort the columns by clicking their heading. Manual sorting would not work with that approach.
Unfortunately there are no plans to extend the statistics section at the moment, right now. What missing user actions are you thinking about?
Would it solve your problem if you could download all files in a folder? Cause this is something we are developing right now: https://coyo.uservoice.com/admin/v3/suggestions/32219935/activity
Unfortunately the topic is quite complex and not as easy to integrate. We need to find an easy way to make multiple category topics manageable.
We added the possibility to combine categories with the latest releases. At least this gives you the possibility to refine your search for pages and workspaces.
We are aware that grouping categories is still important to some of our customers and would add a benefit to the product. Nevertheless it's not a topic we are focussing on right now.
The poll widget could be used for that! In addition we are working on a feature where you can add a simple poll / question directly into any timeline (as a post). Would that solve your problem?
Hey Marcel, would an Organization chart app solve your problem? Cause that's something we are going to work on in the future: http://community.coyoapp.com/forums/306010/suggestions/18723982
At the moment even the superadmin can't import files to the list app. For him the same technical restrictions would apply.
fgetcsv is not on option since COYO is a Java application ;) But, yeah - basically it would be possible to create a very basic import with some restrictions (e.g. all fields are text fields after import).
Let's se how many people are voting for this feature. If there is a high demand for this, we will figure something out.
Generally I like this idea! Though, I am not quite sure how to import data from excel to a list app. The main problem would be that the Excel sheet can contain any untyped data in any appearance. How would you determine which data represents one item in the list app? One column? One row? What about incomplete rows or merged cells? What's the type of the data in one Excel cell? Is it a link? a number, simple text?
I agree, that this would be a great feature, but this might get really complex and cumbersome in handling that the feature might end up being to difficult and frustrating to use in the end.
