@Christoph: Thanks for the heads up. We are currently evaluating Office 365. To be honest it's quite a mess, GUI inconsistent, remains of Skype here and there, one has a plethora of Apps / Functions and Forms to choose from. We have to look into 365 deeper and of course get used to it first ;)
Teams looks promising although there is a lot of work for MS to do here.
Aside from Office 365 I'm still waiting for the coyo team to implement the "invite external users" feature as promised in their roadmap. This would be a game changer for us and instantly sky rocket coyo's usage and acceptance!
Any news on when this will implemented? I know you mentioned one could create a sort of "External" role and limit that role to only have access to Workspaces. In our case unfortunately this means that the External can see all our public Workspaces, when he is supposed to see only one.
We would need something to lock down the External to on or more specific Workspaces only. Also the roles for this External should be more granular. An External e.g. should be able to upload and alter documents but not allowed to delete them - right now you can only grant them both (alter and delete but not either or). Thank you for your great work!
As Sven already stated we started with creating concept and visuals. However, development of this improvement has not started yet but is still planned.
Any progress on this yet Sven? :) The narrow columns really are a pain and this app has so much potential - when can we expect this to be fixed?
We are actually planning to offer an “Organization Chart” app that you can add to your pages / workspaces.
We are planning to improve the preview of Excel, Word and PowerPoint files in the context of our Office 365 integration
Why have you changed the Event App so drastically compared to the old coyo 3 version?
The old calendar offered features like:
- Public events
- iCal Feed
- Different views (List View, Month View...)
- Event Series
You stripped the event app of valuable and working functions - while I do like the new look the functions are crippled in my opinion - at least restore the functions you had in the old version please.
Also a manual enable / disable slide feature would be great instead of having to delete a slide if it's outdated and recreating it.
we had a look at blog images in general and our ideas do match most of your suggestions. In general, we also think that it is quite cumbersome to have two different teaser images with two different formats. So our idea would be to reduce this to one format that works for all blog articles – regardless whether rendered in a widget, a list of articles or the article itself.
Maybe even make it possible to do this via cron job?
Furthermore it would be great if an export could be triggered automatically (via cron job) to a shared drive e.g.
I 2nd that - please implement this feature.
We have Info Meetings / Early Bird Meetings which everyone can attend. Furthermore when a new employee joins coyo one always hast to invite him / her additionally which is quite annoying.
Development of this feature started.
This will most likely finish in Q4 instead of Q3.
With the upcoming version (14.×.) you will be able to download single events as ICS and import them into your calendar.
Please note that in the first step there won’t be a automatic sync but we are also working on that for O365 and probably GSuite.
Just to clarify: You are talking about a small preview icon instead of the file icon, right?
Users should be allowed to choose their preferred view:
- Tile View
- List View
- Detail View
- Content View etc
I agree, it would be great if coyo would offer a "built in" Kanban board / task / project management solution similar to Trello, Meistertask, Asana and how they are all called...
It doesn't have to be full blown project management solution as this is not the focus of coyo but if you could extract the main functions e.g. Trello has to offer and could integrate it with coyo I'm sure this would add great value.
My opinion may differ from others but most people hardly exhaust Kanban / Management tools as they can be very complex...
This feature has been deprioritized in our roadmap.
Unfortunately, we need to postpone this feature further to speed up the development of our Office365 integration. However, we understand that a lot of users demand this and the topic has a high priority. We have therefore kept the item on our immediate roadmap.
This already works:
- Insert animated GIF files with the new RTE (coming with version 10)
- Insert animated Gifs from Giphy (or similar) by posting it’s URL in the timeline
- See the animation of a GIF in the file preview
This does not work, yet:
- Insert an animated GIF via URL to a comment
- Insert an animated GIF as an attachment to a post, forum post, message etc.
The idea is to make the latter possible. We need to keep an eye on the timeline performance, though. GIFs might have a big impact on that (depending on their size).
Can't believe this is not already implemented - sure this is not a business feature but gifs are a new way of communicating and an absolute must for an intranet. Please implement asap
